Floral

The Floral series is long standing and will continue to be. It grows out of my need to find beauty and uplift during the darker seasons of my life and the long New England winters. I paint flowers when I am not at my happiest—letting color, movement, and organic forms lift my spirit and reconnect me to joy. Hydrangeas, abstract blossoms, and flamenco-like bursts of petals echo my love of dance and the way a body moves through space. These works remind me that all life, including our emotional lives, rises from nothingness into form—tiny explosions of color born from the quiet, like our own personal Big Bangs.
